Life of Mugabe On Wikkipidia.

Don Holland, your Editor-at-Large here at Diamond Rodgers, does not profess to be a member of parliament, a member of the Monster Looney Raving Party, a fan of William Pitt the Younger (son of William the elder, who was also Prime Minister), a voter, a man, a woman, a dog, a watcher of the West Wing, or anything that might just suggest some kind of expertise when it comes to the subject commonly know as POLITICS.

But.

With regard to Gordon Brown, his cabinet, the opposition party, Mrs Thatcher, Mary Whitehouse, Boris Johnson, Ken Livingstone, Jeffrey-bleeding-Archer, and all other things that incorporate the body of our blessed political system here in Blighty, well, crikey-and-hell folks, surely the way to deal with Zimbabwe is a mere matter of Common Sense.

Or, indeed, no CS.

Getting rid of Robert Mugabe and his Zanu party seems to be what to do. He’s not a very nice man. Neither are the people who work for him. Terrorism and high inflation do not a well balanced love child make.

So come on Gordo, get the heck out of Iraq and get the heck into Zimbabwe. It’s a darn shame — and frankly hilarious, for all the wrong reasons — that you’re fighting the wrong blooming war. Finding anyone who wants our brave chaps in Saddam’s Alma Mater is like waking up and discovering the Taj Mahal in your back-yard. It aint going to happen.

However, freeing a country from an 84-year-old bloke who could really use retirement would be a jolly good thing to consider. And, would suggest you know what you’re doing.

Right…?

“Some C*&t from Preston!”, No dear, I Said “Country & Western!” - Hank Wangford & Ali Love.

Tuesday, June 24th, 2008

So it was the usual sunday night, pottering round the house, pondering, on wether to go out (BAD) or stay in (Boring). It was with a great relief when Ali called, and said he was playing with his step - Dad, the ledgendry country singer Hank Wangford
& did I want to come along. Due to some mishap, with a farmyard machine, silage & a Chicken, he bust his wrist!! & Ali had to step in.

Its was all going very well, the gig was great, and I was going to get my coat, when Ali mentioned he was going to a Party, did i want to pop along with him.

Well, I did, and we ended up at a Karokee (Another One!) night at the recently opened Whiskey Mist Bar,under the Hilton.

At this point it still pains me to think of the rest of the evening, I’ve not had hangover like that for a while, not to mention the round of 4 glasses of wine costing £50!!!!! Oh and the question I keep getting ‘ What A-Levels did you do??’ Work That One Out!!

BFC NEWGEN- Diamonds In Fashion!

Thursday, June 19th, 2008

So yesterday morning, Morgan was commissioned by the British Fashion Council, to shoot the lastest recruit of NEWGEN’s. While he ran around struting his stuff, i quietly watched, sipping some very fine Champagne.

It was with great pleasure that i bumped into the ever so delictable Hannah Marshall (above left) in a much more demure setting than the last time! Oh, and by the way boys, just to piss on your bonfire, she’s engaged!! Its was also great to see Erin, who told me of the fun packed evening she’d had at the Victor & Rolf Show At The Barbican, the night before.

So as the winners were announced, and Morgan, had to do his wedding photographer bit and take a group photo of all the kids. It was amusing to overhear him discussing the lighting with Diane Pernet.

Go To Diane’s Blog, and get a real Fashion Account!

That is obviously not Morgan talking to Diane, but Amechi Ihenacho from FLUX Magazine. The group shot was so crap i’m not going to bother showing you that!

I suppose I should tell you about the fashion Jazz, but there are much more intelligent writings out there, so, my Award for the NEWGEN angel, goes to…………………………………………

Go To Simone Shailes!

I could put all Morgans Pics of Simone up, but then that would be a bit much, and being one, quite reserved I won’t! But one final tit bit overheard, was Morgan, when asked to take a portrait of Meadham Kirchhoff, rather abruptly asking Harriet Quick, Exactly What Magazine Do you Work For? VOGUE, was the respone, I never seen him go so Quiet!

Ah, Disco BloodBath at the 512 club last Saturday…
Is that a pirate and his missus I see before me?

Andy Warhol’s 15 minutes is the eternal long goodbye-

Yes, that’s right Diamond Rodgers has just entered the building -

It were all occuring like, down the Kingsland Road. Diamond Rodgers & Marcus J Knight were waved through. The help — yours truly — got a concession, while some of the poor fuckers that had to queue, were refused entry by the beautiful Lady Leanne & Accomplice, whose tight arse (&arses) policy meant some had their bloodbath standing on the Kingsland Road, which I can’t imagine was a boon.

Dispite the heat, there was an excellent version of Love Comes Quickly by the Pet Shop Boys…

So when Computer Blue & AntiSocial, decide to do a party, you think, well another shoreditch night out. But Whooooooo, this actually was a little different. Lots of really lovley kids, everyone dresssed up, and getting stuck in. No Bullshit, and the smoking room was a little hub of fun. As my good freind Mr Peter Alexander would say ‘ Morgs, its about the Good Time Vibes’.

Secret Sundaze Closing Party

So after saying - ‘Oh I’m not going, I got shit to do tomorrow’, where did i end up? Secret Sundaze. Now this party is just getting busier and busier, there was a Q, for the Q. Its changed a lot over the years, and possibly as we don’t get totally nailed from friday, a good thing! As usual it rocked, I think the music was good, but to be honest I never went for the Music, just to Party.

I Love Riding A Super Nova.

Sunday, February 18th, 2007

Noel and I, spent the day shooting his new collection, so to give ourselves a little treat we poped out to Nova’s end of fashion week fringe show.

All the usual Crazeeness, more photographers, than you could shake a stick at, so another night in shoreditch, and another event sponsered by the endless supply of Vladivar Vokda.

Great Light, eh?

UnderAge = Patrick Wolf

Sunday, February 4th, 2007

Went to see patrick Wolf this afternoon at the Underage Club. A totally mad affair, with all these teens mashing it up at the front. The bouncers had their work cut out, trying to hold them back. Check them out below. Still love Patrick, albeit he’s a little Affected sometimes, but aren’t we all (but of course not me, i’m talking about Morgan, the little shit).
